Software Training

Katipo Communications offers Kete Site Administrator and Kete Technical Developer Training in the form of group or one-on-one courses.

Training sessions are largely practical, and students also get access to a private training Kete site with training resources.

What types of training are offered?

Kete Site Administrator Training is for organisations and people who want to work effectively with the Kete Open Source Digital Archive Software. This single day long course includes practise with the Kete software to perform every day tasks, including configuring a Kete site, adding, editing and removing Topics, Documents and other Media, using extended fields to shape content and many other advanced tasks. Kete Technical Training is aimed at programmers or system administrators who want to enhance or support Kete installations. It covers Kete's technical design and details. Particpants will take part in practical programming exercises that demonstrate how common types of enhancements can be made. Kete Technical Training is a one to three day course, with an optional two Ruby and Ruby on Rails primer days which can be held beforehand. Click here for full course details.
