Katipo have been developing and working with Open Source systems since 1996. Our web servers run Apache on Debian Linux and we use tools and software are available under GNU or GPL licenses.

Katipo has released the following Open Source software:

  • Kete - Digital library and archiving software developed in Ruby on Rails and MySQL
  • Kakama - staff roster management system developed in Ruby on Rails and MySQL
  • Koha - Integrated Library System developed in Perl and MySQL
  • Konae - Timesheeting system developed in Perl and MySQL

Katipo's Kea website Content Management System is based on Open Source Perl and MySQL technologies.
