Katipo Project Survival Kit

SAMsn

SAMsnThe Sustainable Agriculture/Horticultural Management Systems Network (SAMsn) website is the realisation of a 4 year research project identifying and cross-referencing the legislation, standards and guidelines from 37 agricultural industry groups. The website is a directory designed to help users develop a cohesive sustainable management program for their business or industry.

The website was developed with accessibility in mind, particularly for those on dialup connections in rural areas. Download times were kept to the minimum with the use of PERL and MySQL as development tools and a version of the web application is available on CD. The CD uses redirects to point to information on the live website, and thereby avoids becoming obsolete overnight.
